Juan Kukute overheard this conversation during the 112th Philippine Independence Day celebration last June 12 between the Emperor and the Queen:

Gen. Bangit: Maam, your critics are getting nuts over the 10 million pesos we’ve spent for this event.

GMA: Come on, Delfin, just enjoy the show. Ang gaganda ng floats oh. Sanay na akong pag-initan.

Gen. Bangit:. But Maam, they say we’re just splurging money on cheap showcase of your achievements.

GMA: You know Delfin, it is one million for every year I stayed in office. I think I deserve that”.

Gen. Bangit: Er, Maam, you’ve just been in office for 9 years. There’s an extra million.

GMA (blushing): Hhmmm. Naughty ka Delfin. We’ll see what that is for. I’m not out yet.
